We know her from
In 2011, Merel completed her Master’s degree in Private Law. She spent the next six months working in law, after which she jetted off abroad to have a good think about where she was in life. Her next step? Merel accepted an international consultancy job in Toronto within the banking/IT sector. It was this job that gave her rich insights into successfully negotiating pay rises. In fact, she even came up with her own blueprint for salary negotiation whilst in Canada.

After four years in Toronto, Merel had achieved what she had set out to and was ready for a new challenge with a new destination to boot. She moved to Bali at the end of 2017 and set up her online business through which she helps women successfully negotiate their salaries or rates. Merel returned to the Netherlands in 2018 to further expand her business and method.

In the last two years, Merel has helped more than 150 women in effective compensation negotiation. Once these women had completed their program with Merel, they started to earn, on average, 30% more money. In addition to feeling more valued by their clients/employers, these women also noticed they were standing much stronger on their own two feet than ever before.
